Wanderlust has given me exposure to people from other countries. It makes me feel good to see people from other parts of the world. It’s very interesting to me to see how they talk, to see how others live to some extent, and how they do art. It’s interesting to me to see what the weather is doing over in Finland or somewhere all the way across the world. Or how Kasia’s stream looks.
I have learned so much, not just about art, but also techniques from other people, other than just the teachers, how they organize their stuff, which supplies they like, what’s available and where.
It’s comforting to know that I’m not the only one who has insecurities about my art and also seem to have the same issues like wanting to get things completed in one sitting and anxiety and other stuff like that. Still working on that by the way sometimes it’s not totally fun, it’s a bit stressful but I don’t want to stop because I love it! It gives me a reason to get up in the morning. That sounds sad, of course I have other reasons to get up, but this is something I really look forward to.
I look forward to every Friday. I’m excited to see what new technique we are going to try. I was only doing scrapbooking and so this course has introduced me to all different kinds of art. It surprised me and that some of the things I didn’t think I would like to do, but then once doing them, really enjoyed it and want to do it again. Wanderlust gives me ideas for gifts to give to other people as gifts such as the book that we made.
I just love Kasia of course, and Annelise, and all the teachers are so sweet and mellow and uplifting, just makes me feel good to watch the classes . It’s about self-improvement not just art and accepting and loving yourself. I love the community. They are all so compassionate and supportive it really makes me want to have a meet and greet somewhere. I’m not sure how that would be possible though since were all over the world which is right by the way really really cool!
